For this year’s show featuring life and juried members of the ASA, I selected my recent painting “Magnificent Magpie – Time to Fly”
(24 x 12″ acrylic/mixed media on wrapped canvas). Currently NFS as I’m keeping my corvids together for a future showing.

90th Anniversary Exhibition of the ASA

The Alberta Society of Artists (ASA) is Alberta’s longest-standing society of juried professional artists, and most prestigious. Life and Juried members of the ASA were invited to submit one work, created in the last five years, to the show. Many (though certainly not all) members participated and the result is a wonderful sampling of different styles and approaches from some of Alberta’s, and Canada’s, most illustrious artists.

I selected my painting “Waterfall #1 – Dreaming of Jasper” for the show (one of my favourites). My painting is shown in the center and lower right photo below. The collage is my own creation to showcase the exhibition.
